1 review for AN-2519 | Nat King Cole – Penthouse serenade, mono

  1. AudioNautes – July 15, 2026

The recording was run in 1952 for 8 tracks, also released in 1952 on a 10″ LP. In 1955, 4 more tracks were recorded and added (again at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles), to build up this 12″ LP version: all of them always and only in mono. In 1961, Capitol released the album in Duophonic (a sort of fake stereo). One of the very best cocktail jazz discs.
Since the length is moderate, we could cut it in 45rpm without any compromise. And for the highest possible level, celebrating it’s 70th anniversary, the pressing is 1-Step.
